Malia is 2 months old

Dearest Malia,

Today you are two months old. I forget that you are a newborn. It seems like you have always been part of our family.
You just get cuter every minute of the day. You area real talker, you love to chat with us and always give us the biggest smile.
Unfortunately, for your two month birthday today, you are sick. You caught a cold from your big brother. :(
There is nothing more heartbreaking than hearing you unable to breath and trying to nurse. But, you were still in the best mood all day, still so smiley. You are a super mellow baby, thank goodness.

I usually get up twice in the night with you, around 11:00-12:00ish, then 2-3:00ish. It always varies a bit. You have gone a couple times this past month 5hours between nursing, but still haven't had another 7 hour stretch again. Every night I cross my fingers. When you wake up early morning feed, 5:00 or 6:00 I just bring you into bed to nurse, then you fall back asleep for a couple of hours.

You seem to nurse now 3-4 hours during the day. You get super excited when it is time to nurse. You don't put your hand in your mouth anymore, you know what to do now. You are still a very efficient nurser, on and off in about 5 minutes. Some nights you will nurse longer and I think it has been forever, when in actuallity it was about 7 minutes! Baba gives you a bottle a day and you love it. I even left you with Popo once and you took a bottle from her. I am glad you are not picky about where you are getting your food. It will make things a lot easier.
After you nurse, you are a champion burper and not a super spitty up baby, which is nice.

You also have fewer poopy diapers now, which is also nice. But when you do, man, you blow it out. I don't remember Kekoa having this many blowouts. At night, if you don't poop, I don't change your diaper until morning.

Your brother loves you more and more, if that is possible. He thinks you are so funny and is super silly with you. He loves it when you talk. The brotherly love is pretty intense. He is always all up in your face, we have to remind him to give you space.

Oh my gosh do you love your bath, it is the cutest time of day. You laugh and smile, your blue eyes stare at me so intently, melting my heart. Your eyes just light up as you sit back, relax, and enjoy the warm water. You still take a bath with your big brother most of the time, you in your whale tub and he sits next to you in the big tub.

Some fun things you are doing:
-blowing spit bubbles
-turning your head from side to side
-starting to grab at things
-bending your knees, with your feet in the air towards your face...it is so ctue.
-talking, reallly talking and smiling the biggest smile

We just love you so incredibly much Malia Belle. We all feel so lucky that you are now part of our family.
