Photos of our cutie...

In case you're wondering, my shirt says "I'm bringing chubby back" :)

Mom's favorite smile!

With my new polar bear, Paulie! Thank you Uncle Tim!Look at how strong I am in my plank pose...practicing my pilates. Mama is so proud.
Hmmm, did he make a poop?
Not really sure!
My two handsome dudes!
Kekoa loves sticking his feet out of the high chair!

Grinding my teeth...
I love how Kekoa uses his feet to help him toys and books up!

So cute...

Green moustache baby...

I'm getting good...

Kekoa is getting really good at standing and now we have been practicing walking with him too.
He actually stood all by himself yesterday while we were at music class!! So proud of him!
It is the cutest thing as he "walks". He takes these big exaggerated steps and is nothing but smiles as he cruises!

Here I go...

Made it to my activity table!

Sleeping baby...

Look who fell asleep today in the bike seat! Unbelievable! I still can't believe Kekoa fell asleep somewhere other than in bed or the carrier! Simply amazing. I was hoping he would fall asleep during our bike ride this afternoon. Kekoa decided to boycott his second nap today, so I know he was super tired! It would have been perfect if he had fallen asleep in the beginning of our bike ride, but Kekoa held out until the very end of the ride (of course). I pulled up in the driveway, ready to take him out and put the bike away and noticed he was passed out. I couldn't see his eyes closed because of the sunglasses, but could here him breathing super heavy, so I kept riding around the block, in circles! :)

Scott came home and took some pics so we could have proof...

We got the helmet and sunglasses off, he stayed asleep. He did wake up when we picked him up out of the seat.

Feeling good again!

Welcome to being 8 months old...poor Kekoa was so sick last week. He had a fever for a few days and then on Thursday in the wee hours of the morning (2 am), we discovered a red rash all over his head and tummy. Turns out our poor baby had Roseola. We knew something was off, he just wasn't himself. He was screaming at night, couldn't go to sleep. I had to put him in the carrier to get him to sleep and was thinking, "Oh no, all that sleep training has gone out the window!".
Before the onset of the rash, Scott and I were just hoping that this wasn't Kekoa's new personality, now that he is 8 months old. We knew he was teething too, but his behavior seemed so out of sorts for him. Good thing my hubbie is a nurse and remained calm when I came running to get him when I saw the rash! Because he was so calm, I didn't freak out either. He pulled out his books from nursing school and the 3 of us laid on the floor together, while Scott looked up Kekoa's symptoms. Friday morning we had a doctor's visit and they made us go come in through the side door...in case he was contagious. We were so relieved it wasn't anything serious. Roseola is very common for kids to get when they are between 6 months-3 years old.
Kekoa is all better now. On Monday he was in the best mood ever, all smiles and laughing...back to his goofy self. Scott and I have survived our first baby sickness!
Check out my tooth!
I love that double chin!
Kekoa is so smart, he is putting his toy into the farm.
He loves to play peek-a-boo with the farm. It is the cutest thing as he reaches for your face on the other side of his farm. He just can't figure out how to get you out! :)
Big reach...

Fun during dinner

Yummy! Kekoa figured out how this teether works. It vibrates when he chews on it. He is loving how it feels on his swollen gums! He was so proud of himself when he figured it out! What a smartie pants! Thank you Auntie Cassie!
What mama? I'm not doing anything!
Just kidding...peek-a-boo!
Here I am!
Kekoa? Where is Kekoa?
Right here mama!
Kekoa is so fun to feed at dinner. He makes me laugh every night...
Talking away...

Listen carefully for the buzzing sound of Kekoa chewing on the teether. He is so proud of himself!

8 months old?? What?

Yes, it is true, our little baby is 8 months old and gets more and more adorable with each passing day. We love him so incredibly much and really can't imagine what our lives were like before Kekoa. He is such a happy baby who loves to explore and play with his toys. He'll sit and play by himself for a long, long, long, long time. When we go to our playdates all the other moms even comment on how Kekoa will just play by himself. I've realized how lucky I am in this department. It is a trade off for having a baby that doesn't want to sleep! :) I'll take a happy baby any day.
He is still working on crawling and is soooo close to taking off. He can roll so fast now, you blink and he is across the room. It is the cutest thing to watch because you can just see how much fun he is having moving. He loves to stand at the coffee table and pull everything off of it. He has 3 teeth now and still enjoys eating solids. Kekoa LOVES swimming lessons, just loves the water...splashes in the bath and has a great time. We also started a music class, which he is also enjoying. It is so cool to see him recognize his "favorite" songs when the CD is played. He also loves reggae music, which is awesome. We have moved him to the middle of the bed, to prevent him from rolling off in the night. So, his new thing is trying to wake Scott up in the morning. It is really adorable to see him pulling at the sheets or on Scott's face, saying, "babababa" or "dadadada", the entire time. It is hard to keep up with how fast our baby boy changes.

Palming the ball! Wow!

I can rotate my wrists!
He always has his hands folded. I love it, so cute.

Grapes please....
