I had so much fun with Kekoa today, what a relief after yesterday. Yesterday was just tiring, Kekoa was practicing his screaming. He would scream for anything and everything, if he was happy, upset, frustrated, whatever it was, he would scream. He also has only been taking 1 nap a day for this whole week, which makes the afternoons SUPER long! Thank goodness we had music class yesterday afternoon. We both had a blast in music class! Some singing and dancing is what we both needed.
Anyways, today was a brand new day, less screaming and a lot more laughs! We took Kekoa to the train this morning, which he is just loves so much. After the train ride, we enjoyed a picnic lunch in the park. Kekoa is so funny because he will stay on the picnic blanket, it is his boundary. Maybe he doesn't like the way the grass feels on his knees? It is always the best to spend time with daddy before he has to go to work!
Waiting so patiently for the train.

After we walked back home, Kekoa and I were playing a game. Lately he thinks it is the best when I crawl after him, catch him, and then tickle him. Today I would run and hide behind the sofa and say, "Where's Kekoa?". He would then crawl to find me and I would pick him up and tickle him. He thought it was the funniest thing ever. I would then run to the other side of the couch and do the same thing. We did this for awhile and just laughed and laughed. His laugh is contagious!
It is super cute right now because Kekoa will follow me around. I needed to go to the kitchen and he was headed in the opposite direction, toward the bedroom. I told him to come with me, so he turned around and crawled with me to the kitchen! He wasn't too happy to be in the kitchen with me though. I had to turn on the food processor and he just doesn't like that loud noise. Here I am telling Kekoa to come in Chinese and he does. Watch what he does. We spend our mornings building many towers of blocks. Kekoa even tries to help build them too, but is better at knocking them down!
This afternoon we went to our favorite, Bachman Park to meet some other moms and babies. Kekoa was amazing, he stood by himself not only for a long time, but stood on his own many different times. He was sooooo proud of himself. It was the first time he stood so many times in a row and he just knew he was doing something really cool. He kept pulling himself up, using my leg, standing and then would even squat down with control. Scott asked me if he was taking steps yet, thank goodness not yet!
Of course when I had the camera out, Kekoa wasn't showing off his best skills, but he is still adorable here trying to stand!
All ready to go mama!

I love how Kekoa holds on!

I can't believe how big he looks in the swing now!!
