Thursday with Kekoa

Thursday, July 1 Oops, I forgot to post this last week!

Enough kisses mama!

What a really fabulous day! Kekoa slept in until 7 a.m. this morning, which was really nice. He was cute as ever when he woke up, looked up at me with those beautiful eyes, reached for my face, and then nursed. Of course when he was done, he was crawling towards daddy! :)
He was so excited this morning because I let him stand on the changing table. He was itching to look out the window. We stood there for awhile, he loved watching the cars zooming by and the squirrels crossing the wires in front of the window. After getting our eyes full, we went into the living room, aka the toy room! We have been overtaken by toys. Kekoa couldn't wait to play with his red car, the early birthday present. He was all over it! Kekoa tired me out, so it was time to take a relaxing walk. On our walk, we found Bella the kitty and saw so many birds. Kekoa is really excited to see birds flying right now, he gets a big smile on his face.

After his over 1 hour nap, we all went on a long family bike ride, for about an hour! Kekoa just has the best time in his bike seat and today he was extra exctied that daddy was along for the ride too. He kept trying to find Scott and then would have the biggest, cheeziest smile when he saw him! We rode along the creek trail, seeing a lot of Canadian geese and other birds. It was a pleasantly cool morning, perfect for bike riding.

After his afternoon nap, of an hour long, we got ready for our first music class of the summer session. I told Kekoa we were going to music class today and he was all smiles. It is so great how much he loves music. Scott and I love watching him "dance" in the high chair!
The best part of the day was during music class. It is really quite amazing actually. When we first started taking music he couldn't even crawl. I remember watching the other babies that were really mobile, that would go from sitting to crawling back to sitting, spinning around on their bottoms, back to crawling. Now Kekoa is one of these mobile little babies and it seems like forever ago when he couldn't crawl. He loved it when all the instruments came out. It was the first time he's really crawled toward the instruments and explored, without first putting everything in his mouth! He even helped put some of the instruments away! So, back to my favorite part. We always sing a lullaby and during the lullaby, Kekoa crawled up onto my lap and gave me two, big, slobbery open mouth kisses! My heart just melted all over the place! Motherhood is simply amazing!
