9 months have flown by!

Our little Kekoa Kai is now 9 months old! I can't believe it. He gets cuter and cuter with each passing day. Scott and I tell each other constantly how lucky we are to have such a happy baby. He now weighs 17 pounds, 13 oz and is 27 inches long. He still loves to eat, dinner is his favorite meal. He gets better and better at grabbing chunks of food that I cut up for him.Kekoa loves being outside, either on the bike or out in the stroller. He will ride in the bike seat forever and be perfectly content. He is also good in the stroller, likes to talk and play with his toys. His favorite destination is the park...he can't wait to get into the swings. The wind in my hair!

. Kekoa is a dancing machine. His eyes light up when he hears music, especially the songs from his music class. He just laughs and laughs when either Scott or I dance with him around the apartment. he also thinks it's really funny to watch you dance, it cracks him up. He's rocking out here with dad, bobbing his head and everything!

I love this picture Scott took. Kekoa is turning to look at me. My reflection is in his eyes, it is so cool.
Smoochies!
Kekoa has become super mobile this past month, going from rolling, to sideways crawling, to full on commando crawling across the floor. He is so fast! He has even stood on his own a few time, just for a couple of seconds, but it is still impressive. He really wants to walk and loves to cruise with Scott or I.

My attempt at getting Kekoa to pose for his 9 month photo. There was no cooperation for mama on this day!
I'm outta here!

Magazines, the best to rip!On the move...
Little stinker! :)
Are those books I see?
I love taking all the books out of the shelves...it is so much fun!

And of course I love reading all my books too! I've figured out how to turn the pages, very proud of myself!

Onto the next thing...mama's pilates circle! Hmmmm, looks interesting.
Whoa...almost falling backward!
Whew, caught myself!

So tasty!

We are still working on the sleep thing, but Kekoa is down to 2 naps on most days. He will sleep anywhere from 1/2 hour to 1 hour and a half! He is staying up longer between his naps, which gives us more time in the day to actually do fun things with him. He is out of the carrier (most of the time) for naps, so our next hill to climb is getting Kekoa to nap in the crib. I'm really not looking forward to it, sleep training is going to be hard. Kekoa is such a little snuggle, especially while sleeping!
We love Kekoa so much and feel so blessed to have him in our lives!

Nice weather...finally!

Today was the first really warm day and we took advantage of the great weather. We walked to the park before Scott had to go to work. Kekoa really has the best time on the swing. He figured out today how to hang onto the handles on the swing and move his little hands to the front of the swing to hang on. Pretty smart little noodle.

Oooh, hanging on this chain was so much fun. Check out my solo tooth on my top gums! :)
One armed monkey!!

There's that tooth again!!

Daddy spinning me around!
Kekoa is checking out some "big boys", playing catch. He was fascinated with what they were doing.
Kekoa will now throw a tantrum when we leave the park. He pushes his back up to make it harder to buckle him in! Once we start rolling away, he is fine.

When he woke up from his afternoon nap, we got to play with Ava in her kiddie pool. Ava squealed with delight when Cassie brought out the blue plastic pool, it was so cute. The water from the hose made the pool a little cold, so Cassie and I filled buckets with hot water to warm it up for our little ones. It was so adorable watching Kekoa and Ava in the water together. They were both in water heaven! Ava would get a little upset when Kekoa would splash in excitement. She would say, "No splash Kekoka!" I love how Ava says his name! ;) Kekoa had so much fun, thank you for sharing your toys and the pool Ava! :)

This toy looks good.
Yummy!

Kekoa got a little chilly so I took him out and bundled him up like a burrito and sat him in the sun to warm up. He looked so cute and content! He just sat there, soaking in the rays.So cute together...

going in for a smooch...Thanks for sharing this bucket Ava...I love it!

Kekoa was so skilled at maneuvering himself around in the pool. Here he is, up on one knee, trying to pull himself out of the pool.
