Malia didn't sleep but about 15 minutes, but was super mellow and taking in all the excitement around her.
Kekoa and I had so much fun and it was such a wonderful escape from the heat. There is a whole room with Clifford "stuff" to do and that is where we spent most of our time. I loved watching Kekoa playing, he amazes me. I kept asking him if he wanted to go upstairs and he just wanted to stay in the Clifford room. When I told him that we would be leaving soon and he wasn't going to be able to tell me when it was time to leave that he wanted to go upstairs. He stopped what he was playing with and said, "let's go upstairs", so that is what we did.
He had even more fun in his favorite room upstairs, running through the tunnel. He loved that baby Malia could run through with him and pointed out the stars to her, as she lay back in her stroller, taking it all in. We really did have a great time. The best part was that it was totally empty. I love going toward the end of the day, when most folks have left.
The car ride home? Not as pleasant. Overtired Malia still wouldn't sleep and cried the whole way. Super tired Kekoa took a cat nap, even while Malia screamed, he fell into a deep sleep! :)
Finally, there were no kids in the fire truck. Every other time we come, the firetruck is jam packed with kids. Kekoa was excited that he could drive it and not have to share! :)
He was quite the picture ham today, smiling for all the pictures and saying "cheese".

beep beep!
Inside the Clifford room.

Kekoa had the best time with this, putting Clifford's bones onto the ramp and winding them into his dog bowl. I nursed Malia while he played here. It was perfect.
Here's a hamburger for you mommy and some cash (Kekoa actually told me, "here is some cash.")
driving the boat before we head upstairs.

So much fun in the tunnel.
My two cutie pies, in front of the museum.
Kekoa wanted me to take a picture of him drinking his water.

Another picture Kekoa wanted me to take...along the path back to the car.
Running, running, running, always running.
