7 weeks old

Our baby girl is 7 weeks old today. She just doesn't seem like a newborn baby to me. She seems so big, so chubby. She is filling out her 3 month clothes so nicely and today I bought some size 2 diapers for her. She can still fit in the size 1's but keeps having blow outs, I mean serious blow outs, up the back...not fun.

At 7 weeks, Malia can now turn her head side to side. She follows my voice or strains to get a better look at something.
She absolutely, positively L.O.V.E.S. her binky. Her whole face relaxes when she has it in her mouth.

She is able to put herself to sleep, which is just amazing to me. I am sure this will change at some point, but Kekoa was never able to do this as a baby. Shoot, he has a hard time doing it now. She loves her moses basket and I can put her in it completely awake and she will fall asleep. Even if this changes tomorrow, I have not taken for granted how much easier she is to put to sleep.

She loves to talk and smile. I mean, she gives big cheesy grins. When I talk to her, she is SO happy to see her mama and gives me a smile to melt my heart. When she wakes up in the morning, she gives her baba and big brother the same goofy smile. Kekoa can't wait for her to wake up in the mornings, he gets super excited to go in and say hello.
