A Valentine's surprise
My Auntie M (the "M" is for Marilyn) is the BEST. She has been sending me goodies in the mail, for every sort of celebration and holiday, since I can remember. In college, everyone was so jealous of the goodie boxes she sent to me all the time, filled with delicious baked goods. She is very thoughtful and now Kekoa gets a goodie box from Auntie M. This morning we opened it up together and there it was...a little, pink, Valentine's Day monkey. It was love at first sight and Kekoa even took a nap with it today! Thank you so much Auntie M! We love and miss you so much!
Why are we "The Hapa's"? Hapa in Hawaiian means half. I'm a hapa girl, half Chinese. Together we are the Hapa's, half Hanson and half Parks. The "ha" is pronounced like something is funny, ha, ha, ha. The "pa" is pronounced like the "pa" in papa.
