Smarter and cuter everyday

I swear Kekoa gets cuter and cuter everyday. Today he was being especially cute. When he woke up from his nap, he was perfectly content hanging out, reading books and playing with his stuffed animals. That is our new thing now, to play stuffed animals. Kekoa talks to them and gives them kisses. He gets super excited to see them when he wakes up from his nap. I put the animals next to him so when he wakes up they are the first thing he sees. Scott and I were watching Kekoa on the monitor when he woke up today, it was adorable to see him grab Buzz and Lulu and start playing with them.

Kekoa is also blowing us away with how much he is understanding. It is like a lightbulb went off or something. Yesterday he randomly grabbed Gorilla's hands and started making him clap! I told him today to clap Gorilla's hands in Chinese and he did!


Kekoa is also starting to read. I heard him open up his book and make sounds! He also loves looking at his books while he is in his highchair. I am so happy he is back into the books. We have been reading them again like crazy, every morning he sits in my lap and we read, read, read, until he wants to get up and play. He received some new ones for his birthday that he is really enjoying too. There is a Cheerios book and he tries to pick the Cheerios off the page!



Kekoa is also cracking us up with how fast he can cruise now, basically he can run. Scott was going towards the screen door and Kekoa didn't want to miss the chance to go outside so he bolted from around the couch. He was cruising so fast that Scott said he fell over!
