Last day

Today is Kekoa's last day before he turns 1. He already seemed so much older to me today. He really did change from yesterday! I woke up to Kekoa's beautiful eyes looking up at me and that smile on his face. We stay in bed for a little while to give mama a chance to wake up! This morning I was so proud of Kekoa because he did patty cake all by himself, clapped his hands on his own!! Kekoa and I got up and let daddy sleep in today. We had fun this morning playing with one of his new toys. He was amazing me at how he was kneeling and then going to standing up. After playing awhile, Kekoa started gesturing to the front door...his sign that he wants to go outside! Off we went, I took him running with me. He just loves being in the stroller right now. This could change, so I'm just taking advantage of the fact that he doesn't want to crawl out of it right now! He looks so adorable in the stroller. It has been cool in the mornings, so he wears a little jacket and a black beanie. He waves and smiles to everyone that passes by. We saw his favorite dog today too. A huge 120 pound malamute named Wolf, who loves Kekoa. She had even given him a kiss before!
The afternoon was filled with a 1 year photo shoot, going to Trader Joe's, walking with the Radio Flyer and playing in the rocks. It was the first time Kekoa didn't want to walk the whole time. He was so interested in stopping and checking out the green leaves on the bushes and picking up rocks. We sat on the ground, playing with rocks as Kekoa waved to all the cars that drove by. He would pick up the rocks and put them in his little wagon, then take them back out and put them on the ground again. He is such a boy!!

What are you eating Kekoa? A raisin mama! Kekoa chews on raisins like it is gum. Once he's tired of it, he spits it out.
He was having the best time playing with his new bus on his high chair!
Kekoa is now a big boy in the stroller! He is such a flirt and was the star in Trader Joe's! He had everyone saying hi to him and gushing over how cute he is!
We did have some down time today reading books. It seems like it has been a long, long time since Kekoa has wanted to just lay in my lap and read books. He was so cuddly and snuggled right in as we flipped through the pages of Richard Scary's "Best Word Book Ever".
Kekoa is so excited to open up his presents. This box came from Kaiwei! Another HUGE box came from Grandma and Grandpa after Kekoa was in bed. Tomorrow will be like Christmas!
