We finally made it, Kekoa almost fell asleep, but decided he didn't need his second nap. It was so good to see everyone and of course Kekoa was a big hit! He loves being in new places and really loved all the attention he got. He had so much room to roam and explore, unlike our little apartment. One of his favorite things to to was chase Gigi the kitty. She would get just close enough and then run away. Kekoa would desperately try to crawl and catch her. It was really cute. Kekoa also loved playing with Kyle and Ava. The two of them just couldn't get enough of Kekoa and he was eating it up. It seems like yesterday that they were Kekoa's age and now they are just growing up so fast!
The highlight of the trip was definitely pool time. Kekoa had the best time playing in the water. We all had so much fun playing with him in the pool. He just couldn't get enough and did not want to come out. He loved relaxing on the rubber raft and playing in the waterfalls. He has no fear and just leaps into the water when he is sitting on the edge of the pool. He impressed everyone with his swimming skills and Scott and I were so proud!
We were sad to leave this morning, but not as sad as Kekoa. It was like Disneyland for him, all this room to move around and kids to play with. He was not happy to get in his car seat and proceeded to cry the whole way back. Wait, it wasn't quite a cry, but a screaming. We thought maybe stopping for lunch would help. He did stop screaming when we took him out of the car, but as soon as he had to be strapped in, the crying started up again!! Scott and I did a great job not stressing out, we turned up the radio and talked to each other. Usually we get so stressed that we get snappy with each other! Nothing like a screaming baby for 2 hours in the car! :)
We had a wonderful, relaxing visit! Thank you guys so much! :)
Before we left for our road trip, I went grocery shopping. Kekoa was being such a great helper, taking things out of the bags for me!
I am so amazed at how well Kekoa can stand up now. He pulls himself up and is now able to let go with one hand! What a little stud muffin!

Standing on one leg!

Let's get going guys!
Kekoa really enjoyed going out for lunch. We had Mediterranean food and Kekoa tried the tzaziki and thought it was yummy!
We stopped in a toy store after lunch. Here he is trying out the wooden horse...maybe a birthday present?
There was a beautiful fountain in Walnut Creek surrounded by such colorful flowers. Of course Kekoa wanted to go in for a swim!
The weather was perfect, not too hot, which is surprising for Davis this time of year. After unpacking the car, we all went out to sit poolside.
Some love for mama...
I'm not sure if I'm ready yet daddy!
Here I go...
The pool got a little chilly, so Kekoa went into the hot tub with Scott. It was like a big bath tub...not too hot, the perfect temperature! Boy did he have a great time.
Please let me out to swim again!

My hair is so blond!
Climbing out!
Excuse me...I need to poop! :)

Isn't this the most yummy, beautiful sushi tray? This was our Father's Day feast...it was so delicious!
Kekoa woke up from his nap and was being a little snuggle bug. He's always cuddly, but hasn't ever rested his head so long on my chest like this. It was so incredibly sweet and I just loved it.

Don't you love how Kekoa's hands are folded? He was so content sitting in his little green chair, looking out the window, while I fed him.

He was also twisting around to check out the T.V.
Swim to Ava!
Let's go check out the waterfall daddy!
Gigi the cat. She is such a sweet and gentle little kitty.
I'm gonna get her..
Where did she go?
oh, there she is! Kyle helping Kekoa to figure out how to get Gigi!

Love this pic...
Kekoa now does the peeking look, when he is really trying to check something out. He tilts his head, like he is figuring something out. Here he has spotted a door that he wants to investigate. He does this same look when I am holding him, like he is trying to get my attention...so cute!
snuggles with Kyle
Chasing Gigi...
1,2,3....big breath, eyes in!
Kyle is so fun!
A little tumble, don't worry, Kekoa didn't even cry at all!
I'm so excited to nurse! :)
