Such a nice day

I had such a wonderful Saturday afternoon with my little guy. It was hot yesterday, so we headed over to the pool. Well, I thought it was hot and that the cool water would be really refreshing. I don't know if it was because Kekoa was hungry or the pool water was too chilly, but he didn't want to get in the water! He was trying to crawl up me to get out of the pool...first time that has happened! He is usually a little fish.
So, instead of going in the pool, we sat under the shade of this huge Ginko tree. It was so lovely, there was a breeze to cool us off and it was the perfect place to eat our lunch. Kekoa was so cute, sitting there with me, staring at the trees and enjoying the mellow vibe. He was super hungry too! For dessert, I nibbled on Kekoa's belly and toes! :) He was laughing and laughing, my ticklish little son.
Kekoa had the best time exploring his stroller. He pulled himself up on the stroller and this made his day. I was able to feed him all his lunch, while he touched everything and tried to bite everything too...even the tires! Yuck! It was one of those times when even though what I had planned didn't work out, the afternoon ended up being much better than I had even imagined. Kekoa had the best time discovering more of the world around him and it is so great to see him doing this.
After a short afternoon nap, we headed out on the bike to the fountain. Kekoa giggles every time he gets in the bike seat, as I sing our helmet song. He thinks its so funny when mama puts on her helmet! We both got soaked at the fountain, the perfect way to cool off before coming home for dinner and bed. We also got to see Ava, Auntie Cassie, and Uncle Brad at the fountain. They were nice enough to share their towel, since I forgot one.
After stressing out about sleep training, we both needed some fun!

Wow, I can pull myself up on the stroller! This was the highlight of my afternoon, way better than the pool!

Squatting back down to the grass...

Hmmm, let me try to get back up again!

I'm going to do this!

Almost there..

and I'm up again!

Look, my feet!

What's under here?

Wow, that is a beautiful tree. Thanks for the shade!
This smile melts mama's heart.

Look at all those dots!

So cute, so cute, so cute!

Mama is so funny with her helmet song!

Can I take my helmet off now mama?

I love the feel of this redwood tree bark!

My toes are so yummy. Here I am taking a break from sucking on them at dinner!
