What a super fun afternoon the kids had today, very stressful for me, but the kids had an amazing time. (It was stressful because the kids were all over the place and I was trying to keep an eye on both of them at the same time.) The Fremont crew came to join in on the fun, which made it that much better. Every year our street shuts down for a block party. There are jumpy houses and the fire truck comes. This year there was also a jumpy house with a water slide!
Kaiwei and Kekoa were so cute standing in front of the water slide. I heard them talking, telling each other they should go first. I could tell both of them wanted to get in so badly, but both were a little bit nervous (there were a few big kids in there). A very nice neighbor helped them get in the pool and then there was no turning back. The boys were climbing up the little ladder and sliding down like they had been doing it their whole lives. They were even getting tricky on the slide, doing a booty bounce before flying down.
While the boys were playing on the water slide, Malia was in the kiddie pool. She just loved this, had it all to herself. I was across the street with Malia when Kekoa yells, "Mama, I'm cold". Malia led the way back across the street, this girl has no fear at all...doesn't realize there are curbs and things like that!
Kekoa changed and then it was into the bouncy house and some arts and crafts. We had a short dinner break before the fire truck came, but the boys were pretty much bouncing until dark. Kaiwei kept asking me, "When is the fire truck coming". I didn't think it was, it was already after 7:30 pm, when all of a sudden it came cruising down our street, lights on. I wish I had a picture of the kids faces...total bliss!
By the time Kekoa went to sleep, he was complaining about sore and tired his legs were!

Hi baby sister!!

There were art and crafts to do too!
This jumpy house was the best for these boys. They were so funny in it, having the time of their lives jumping together.
This game was aim and shoot, the kids loved it and would wait in the long line to do it again and again.
I couldn't decide which of these three pics were my fave...

Oh my gosh, the fire truck is coming!!! Do you see how Kekoa is stopping Kaiwei from running into the street?

All the neighborhood kids. Love how Kaiwei is in the picture (left hand corner) but my kids aren't.
