15 months

Dear Malia,

What can I say?  You are such a cutie pie and bring the biggest smile to all of our faces.
You are so funny and make us all laugh.  We all think you are so cute, even your Ge Ge, who tells me you are so cute all the time.  You are such a delight, a sweet and happy girl.

You are still a champion sleeper, you are in between taking two naps and some days only taking one nap.  You can take a nap from 3:00-5:00 in the afternoon, we wake you up, you eat dinner, and then you are right back to sleep at 6:30!  You love to have milk before naps and bed, but it has to be warmed up...our little diva.  You also have to have a binkie and both your blankies to sleep.  You love to rub them on your face.  So much for having a back up blankie!!  We saw a few days of you getting up at 7:00, but most mornings you are still up at the crack of dawn.  Luckily for me, your Baba gets up, give you milk, and we both cross our fingers you will go back to sleep.  I hope that one day you will sleep longer than 5:00 am!!

You have become the pickiest eater.  I still remember how much you would eat before and you would eat everything we put in front of you.  You are a vegetarian now, you won't even eat fish!!  You love your veggies and fruit and the past few weeks you have been eating peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.  I find it stressful to figure out what to feed you.  You like things cut into sticks, so you can hold it, and you like things in pancake form too.  You also enjoy eating things off the spoon or fork.  If you are hungry, you will walk over to your chair and try to get in it...it's pretty cute.

The tantrums have continued.  You throw yourself on the ground and cry.  I am giggling inside when I see you doing this, it is almost cute, but stick to my guns .  It is usually over really silly things.

You are talking up a storm.  Most of it is gibberish, but I love listening to you tell me things.  You say Ge Ge, ba (for ball), mao mi (cat in Chinese and you call all animals this), just started saying "go go" (dog in Chinese) on Kekoa's birthday, googli googli means you want something do drink, and you have different whines for different wants and needs

Here are some other fun things you are doing...
-gone from walking to practicing running
-we love that you follow us around the house, makes Kekoa crack up
-love love love animals, try to talk to them
-will put away shoes and jacket in the tubs
-really understanding things,  tell you its time to change your diaper and you go get one and lie down, so much better than the screaming child
-love water and want to be in it anytime you see it
-went to the bathroom on the potty
-love to sing and dance.
-love to be crazy and wild when we play with you
-talk all the time, most of it gibberish, but you have a lot to say
-I love it when you grab a book and get all snuggly in my lap to read
-lots of teeth, molars and more front teeth coming in

You make our lives so much better Malia Belle.  We love you so much.
love,
your mama
