Shave Ice in town

The best shave ice on the planet is in Honolulu. We made sure to stop off there before heading back to the the North Shore yesterday. The place is called Waiola. Scott took me there when he was living here and I came over for a visit... many moons ago. So of course we had to make a visit with our little baby! To get to this shave ice location, you drive through this really random neighborhood. The first time Scott took me to Waiola's, I was convinced he was lost. Then he turned the corner, and there is this random corner store with a little shave ice stand. What makes this the best shave ice? The ice is like snow, it is so fine and powdery. The syrups add the perfect yumminess to the powdery shave ice.

Scott and I are total shave ice fanatics. I don't know what we are going to do when we come back home. Getting a shave ice every day was a little bit of a joke, but we really have been having one every day! Scott has proposed buying a shave ice machine for personal use...not sure how that will fit in our tiny kitchen!
