North Shore mornings

September 10

The last 3 mornings, after we have had coffee, breakfast, checked out the chickens, read some books, and played a little bit at home, we head up the coast to run/walk the trail. The drive there is just gorgeous, we go by Waimea Bay and the clear, sparkling, azure waters never cease to take my breath away. Our destination? The most lush, tropical trail that runs along the Kamehameha Highway on the North Shore. We park right in front of the ocean and strap Kekoa in the BOB. Scott takes the stroller and I get to run ahead. On my way back, we meet up and get to walk back to the car together. It is such a great way to start off our day! Let's go mama!
Oh, I need one more hug!
Thursday morning on our way up, it was raining. We were right above Waimea Bay when we came up on a police officer in the middle of the road stopping traffic. They were towing cars and blocking traffic. Only in Hawaii would this happen, all the traffic was completely stopped, in both directions, on the only road through.
Can you see the end of the rainbow in the ocean? No pot of gold! :(
Kekoa keeps himself busy on the short drive with his buddy.
Almost to our parking spot! Such a beautiful place.
View as we drive up to the parking spot.
Ready to go!!
My two guys greeting me with a smile! :)
The trail...
We were back at the car, ready to go back to Zen Villa. I couldn't find my two guys and walked to the other side of the car to find the sitting, watching the ocean. It was very sweet.
