Bedtime our first night at the Zen Villa was pretty entertaining. When I say bedtime for Kekoa, I mean it was 4:00 here in Hawaii (7pm in Cali). The room was completely super bright and sunny. Scott found a blanket to put up over the window, but we didn't have any tacks to put the blanket up. After trying various techniques, Scott headed to the hardware store down the street for some supplies. Kekoa and I stayed behind and read books on the bed. Let me rephrase that, Kekoa read his book. He was super pumped up and very confused why he was going to bed when it was so light outside. He was making me laugh so hard.
It was especially fantastic when he started to jump on the bed! What a silly little monkey! When Scott returned with the tacks, the blanket darkened the room, and Kekoa went to sleep. He was exhausted! The next morning he was up at 3:00ish in the morning, 6:00ish in Cali! He was confused himself, the room was so dark that he figured he wasn't supposed to be up yet. He tried to put himself back to sleep but we finally got out of bed with him about an hour later. Whew, it was a long day!
Today we are all getting back to our normal schedules and adjusting to Hawaii time. Jet lag is tough!!
