Who is running the show right now? Our 3 year old boy. He had never had good sleep habits and they just seem to be getting worse. We decided, enough is enough. Scott is home for another 10 days and our goal is to get him out of our bed. No one is really sleeping right now, well, Malia is sleeping, but she is the only one. She wakes up Kekoa, who is in our bed, Kekoa keeps both of us up. It is just not a good situation. Kekoa's love for his mama is SOOOOO intense, and gets more and more intense each day. At all times of the night he says "just want you close", when he isn't snuggled right up next to me, with my arms around him.
Vacation didn't help either, since he slept with us each night.
So, last night, I didn't lay with him, but sat next to him in the bed, after much screaming. Scott went in his room first and then after he calmed down a bit, I sat with him. The plan was, when he woke up in the night, Scott would go in his room and not let him come into our room. Whoa...this was intense. From 3:30 to almost 5:00 am, Kekoa screamed bloody murder, "I want my mommy", "I want to go to mommy's room", "MAMA", "come in mommy, please come in"
Oh, it was heartbreaking and Scott was in the thick of it. I couldn't believe that Malia didn't wake up! Craziness.
At 6:00 am, I got up to nurse Malia. Kekoa saw the bedroom door open and came in, crawled on the bed and fell asleep right next to me. I on the other hand, didn't really get any sleep last night, which is why I actually have some time to blog right now.
Not sure what we are doing and wondering if we will make it another night.
