preschool: Day 2

Today was my work day at the preschool. I am really happy that we are doing a co-op. It is fun to be part of Kekoa's school day and to help at the school. Working with these little ones is so different from my big 5th graders. They are so cute...the little ones.

Kekoa is very into the button down shirts this week. He was excited to wear one on the first day of school and wanted to wear one again today! He likes that he has another shirt on underneath. Today it was a "small Paul" shirt and he couldn't wait to show teacher Sally at the end of the day.

I was in charge of the art area today, which meant messy painting and playing with play dough. Both activities were very fun to do. I loved that Kekoa is getting to do art, since I don't really do it at home with him right now. He did like the art project, even if it meant his hands got a bit dirty. He really liked the play dough. He was so funny because he would find one of the play dough cutters and make sure he got one for me too.

Kekoa was pretty independent today. I was worried that he wouldn't go outside by himself, but he knew I had to work and was ok with it. He even went and had a snack by himself! I am so proud of him.

As we were leaving today, I looked down at my big boy and thought, oh my goodness he is growing up so fast. I remember seeing cute little preschoolers, with their cute little back packs on, and now I have one of those cute little preschoolers! It is crazy.
