1st day of preschool

Oh, my boy is so grown up. He started preschool today and couldn't have been more thrilled. He has been so excited to start, asking me every morning for the past few days, "I go to school today?"
Well, today was the day. We had a slight melt down in the car when we couldn't find his sunglasses (a security thing).
Kekoa is SUPER shy, oh my goodness, for all his excitement, he was so scared to go in the classroom. He met teacher Sally, who was there to greet him, and then I showed him where his cubby was. He was really happy about his cubby since it has his picture on it. During circle time he was glued to my lap but as the morning went on, slowly became more independent. He didn't have to follow me to the bathroom or outside when I had to go grab my water bottle. He loved playing with the trains and going outside, which he calls "the park".
By the end of the day, he was all smiles and even showed teacher Sally his Spiderman shirt. We are on our way. Ideally, Tuesdays he will be there on his own and Thursday's are my work day at the school. We'll see if I can leave him next Tuesday.

Before school...

pouring his own water!

Kekoa had so much fun on this boat. We were fishing off of it and he was an excellent captain!

I loved watching him play with these two other cuties. They were cracking me up, negotiating who was going to drive the tricycle and who would get to sit in the back.
