Waikiki aquarium

We ventured into Waikiki today. Scott and I actually love Waikiki , love to people watch there. This trip into Waikiki was quite different, instead of people watching, we headed to the aquarium.
This quaint little aquarium was actually really great, the perfect size. The reef exhibits were done really well and we all enjoyed looking at the fish. Kekoa's favorite was the big hermit crab. It was the biggest hermit crab I have ever seen.
My favorite was the monk seals. The first one we saw looked like he was standing in the water and he just kept going around and around, like a straw swirling in a drink. When we were leaving, the two monk seals started to "talk" to each other.
After the aquarium, we went to the best shave ice ever, Waiola. Such soft, powdery, ice and the yummiest flavors. We were hoping Kekoa would nap on the way back to Ko olina, but he was on a serious sugar high. Scott and i just loved listening to him in the back seat, he was cracking us up. He had a little flattened penny that he was pretending was a train. When he dropped it, he told us, "but I need it so much"

My cheezy boy and Diamond Head in the background.

I love Kekoa's little strut here.

Kekoa loved climbing the roots of these trees as we headed to the aquarium.
