5:30-6:30: Kekoa and I eat dinner, while Malia chills out in the swing.
Sometimes while Kekoa is still eating (he is a very slow eater), I will give Malia her bath. I think that Kekoa is no longer interested in taking a bath with his sister.
6:30-7:00: Get Malia ready for bed. Kekoa plays on his own.
7:00: Malia ready for bed. I nurse her one more time, then she goes in the swing, with her binky, and puts herself to sleep, almost instantly.
7:00-8:00: Get Kekoa ready for bed. A bath, lotion and jammies, usually with lots of snuggles, a few stories, brush and floss his teeth(surprised at how long this takes), one more time peeing on the potty, put the diaper on, then put him to bed.
8:00-???: He sweetly requests one more story, this one I just tell him while his eyes are closed. Then, lay with Kekoa until he falls asleep. I try not to fall asleep too.
Once Kekoa asleep, sneak out of his room and transfer Malia to her Moses basket.
When both kiddos are asleep, I congratulate myself on another evening doing it on my own with no tears, on my part anyway! :)
Not sure what will happen when Malia outgrows her swing...will cross that bridge when we come to it. I am just so thankful that she sleeps in it now.
