Our little man turned 3 today, really hard to believe. For his birthday, we went to the North Shore. Our first stop was Ted's Bakery for chocolate haupia pie and Kekoa picked out a chocolate cupcake, then off to the beach.
We all love the North Shore so much, it is where we stayed the last time we were here so many great memories came flooding back.
We had fun at the beach, found a great shady spot at Haleiwa beach park, and played in the sand. Kekoa and built a "Christmas tree mountain" with the sand. A green turtle even came out to say "happy birthday". Kekoa was super excited to see it come out and sun itself on the sand. Malia slept and chilled out in the car seat.
Of course the day wouldn't be complete without getting shave ice. Our final stop was Matsumoto's and we were all in shave ice heaven.
Kekoa had a wonderful day and topped it off with some pool time and chocolate cupcake after dinner! :)
