new neighborhood park

Oh, what a gorgeous afternoon we had today, so warm and sunny...it feels like spring. After Kekoa's nap, we walked to a park I found the other day. When we got there, we were the only ones there. I couldn't believe it. It is such a relaxing place, surrounded by beautiful oak trees. Kekoa had so much fun climbing on the playground. Scott met us there and the two of us couldn't believe how awesome Kekoa was doing at climbing. We actually had time to sit for a second and just let Kekoa climb on his own...of course we were watching him like a hawk. At one point, after climbing up the ladder, Kekoa turned to find where we were sitting, a look of such pride on his face...he wanted to make sure we saw what he just did.

Checking out the new surroundings.

I love this series of pics. Kekoa's face is so funny.

Driving us to the Island of Sodor.

Can't wait to get down the slide...

Oh, it's very steep. "I want my mommy. Mama go down with me". So Kekoa sat on my lap and we went down together.

Then Kekoa got a turn going down with baba too!

Kekoa gets braver and goes down holding baba's hand.

Then Kekoa does it on his own!

Kekoa's first time climbing one of these by himself.

He even stopped and said, "mama take picture of me climb. Cheese"
