Leia's mama, our neighbor at the apartment, watched Kekoa all morning so I could pack up more things. That was a HUGE help.
We stayed here last night, so had our first morning together in the new house. It was a little chaotic, trying to get Kekoa's breakfast ready with boxes all over. Good thing he didn't want cereal (since I couldn't remember where it was) for breakfast! Kekoa went over to play with his friend Noah this morning so I could get some unpacking done (thank you Auntie Jessica).
Kitchen full of boxes.
So excited to actually have a pantry for the food!

We actually have a dining area, so nice, and it looks out into the backyard.
More boxes that need to be unpacked. Wish I could do some magic and have it all done with a wiggle of my nose.
Our bedroom. Thanks to Scott for setting it all up. Our furniture just fits and there are 2 closets!!
Kekoa's bed is all set up. Thank you SO much Pop Pop. This was my dad's project yesterday. He is awesome...took the bed apart and put it all back together.

One of my favorite features...a washer and dryer! Yay, no more having to worry about having quarters for laundry.

Our comfy couch fits perfect in the living area.
It really hit me this afternoon though, that we actually did it...we moved! Kekoa and I went on a long walk together to enjoy the warm weather. I wanted him to get some rest since he didn't nap today. I figured he would chill out in the stroller like he always does, but he actually fell asleep!! A miracle, I can count on one hand the times Kekoa has fallen asleep in the stroller! It is always fun to explore a new place and I found a really nice trail and park not too far away.
When we got home from the walk, Kekoa and I played out front with his police car. I found this on Craigslist for only $20 and couldn't pass it up. (The seller threw in the gas station and lawn mower for free) My dad actually picked it up for us in Fremont and Kekoa knew he was going to get it when we moved. Whenever we talked about moving to the new house, he would say "get police car and gas station from Pop Pop", in a very excited voice. It was so wonderful to have a place to play, a place where I wasn't scared Kekoa was going to get hit by a car. Our street is very quiet, which is a nice change. He had the best time racing down the driveway in his car. He picks up his feet and just goes.
We are all just loving all the space. After dinner, Kekoa and I were playing in the house and it felt so good to have so much room. Even with boxes all over the place, we still have space to navigate, play cars, and run around and be silly.
Kekoa just looks so cute in his police car.
Don't laugh at his outfit today. His pants are way too short, they weren't the last time he wore them. He picked out his blue crocs to wear outside...he has been dying to wear them but it has been too cold.

Gassing up the police car.

Very excited to have a lawn to mow.
