house heaven

What a heavenly first weekend we have had in our house. Scott was off, which always makes everything better.
Today we walked down to farmer's market. We are even closer to a fabulous farmer's market, with way more veggies and fruit to choose from. The playground for Kekoa to run around in is right across the street and 3 blocks from our place. I can see this becoming our Sunday morning routine....walk, farmer's market, playground, and come home for lunch.

After Kekoa's nap, it was the best. I have been dreaming about having a place for him to play outside, so we don't always have to leave and rush off somewhere. He had a fun filled afternoon running around in the backyard...digging up rocks, driving his police car, mowing the lawn, digging in the dirt, helping me water, playing ball with baba. It was pure bliss watching and listening to him play. I can see out into the backyard from the kitchen window and as I was getting dinner started, I could see Kekoa and Scott playing catch. It was the sweetest thing.

Speaking of cooking...I had a weekend of cooking bliss. Oh, I have missed enjoying cooking, missed having space and easy access to all the things that cooking requires. I made the most delicious raspberry muffins with coconut flour (I'm trying not to eat wheat right now), some peanut butter balls (basically like cookie dough, but good for you), a chicken in the slow cooker, baked barley butternut squash risotto, quinoa salad, and pesto pasta. We are set for snacks, lunches for a few days and dinner too.

What a great feeling to have space to have meals together. Kekoa has already claimed his seat. He has a view of the backyard and loves watching the squirrels play outside and the two doves that come to visit each morning.

We are all very content and happy with our move.

Kekoa kept himself so occupied filling his police car with rocks.

I love how hard he is concentrating.

L.O.V.E. the dirt mustache!

I love my plant area behind the sink.
