A toddler

It is official, Kekoa is now a toddler. It all began with him truly being able to walk. He is definitely not a little baby anymore. Today I went to a playdate with my mom's group and it was the first one where I did not sit down the entire time! Kekoa was off and running, exploring his new surroundings! Not only do we have a very curious little monkey, but he is all boy. I never truly appreciated or understood this expression until now. Now that I have my own son, I totally get it. I love how he still likes to hold my hand though!
All boy means not wanting to look at the creek, lake, river, etc, but wanting to jump out of my arms to get in it.
All boy means never having clean clothes again.
All boy means being just so busy, always busy, always putting things in and taking them out of baskets, bags, bins, or whatever else you can find. I am finding things that you have hidden away all over the place!
All boy means finding the dirt, sitting in it, and getting it all over our hands and then putting said hands in our mouth.
All boy means being a magnet for toy trucks, especially toy dump trucks.
All boy means when you see a truck on the street you say, "Oh wow!"
All boy means taking my hands, leading me toward some vines on a hillside, and then sitting down in them.
All boy means finding the drainage grate on the street and sitting on top of it, sticking your fingers through the slats and then putting said fingers in your mouth!
All boy means flinging the tanbark at the park everywhere!
All boy means being a ball magnet, any size or color will do.
All boy means playing with your cars and saying "Vroom, vroom".
The best part of being all boy is how loving you are. You are always ready to give and receive hugs and kisses, not matter how busy you are!

Our little toddler...
