Jack Johnson concert

On Tuesday, Scott and I went on our first date night. We went to see Jack Johnson to celebrate my bday. It was such an amazing show, simply amazing. Kekoa was dropped off at my dad's and was in heaven. He loves, loves, loves to play with Kaiwei and all his toys.

Scott and I got to the Greek Theatre in Berkeley super early to get a bite to eat and then wait in line for a seat. Parking could've been really stressful (since there isn't any) but we lucked out and got a spot almost right in front of the Greek! This was a great sign. The best part of the evening, besides spending time with my hubbie, is that I got to see Jack and G-Love perform super close, I mean so close that I could reach my arm out and touch them close. I was wandering around at the top of the Greek, checking out the tents that were set up. One of the women working told me that if I stuck around, it would be worth my while. I smiled and then kept wandering around. All of a sudden I heard a harmonica playing. It was G-love and he was right there, right in front of me, so close and at eye level, not on a stage or anything! It was simply amazing. He played a few songs and then Jack came to perform with him! Jack was right, right, right in front of me!! It was already the most amazing concert and it hadn't even begun yet!

Scott and I really enjoyed ourselves. The concert was awesome and it was so wonderful to reconnect and spend some time together alone. What is really amazing is that Jenny was able to put Kekoa to sleep for the night! It was our first date night, the first time someone else needed to put Kekoa to sleep and it was a complete success! Yay!
