I think Kekoa is out of his vacation funk, I'm crossing my fingers that he is. We have spent the last couple of days visiting at my dad's (pics and post on that later). Kekoa had the best time and I think it was just what he needed to get out of the vacation blues.
A few things happened today that I don't want to forget!
First thing is when I put Kekoa down for his nap today, it was his first time throwing a tantrum. We were at my dad's house and he just wanted to come out and play with Kaiwei. He was throwing his arms everywhere and crying but since he was so tired, his eyes were shut the entire time. He was also "talking" to me, pointing to the closed door. I can only guess that he was telling me he didn't want to sleep and he wanted to play instead. I was trying very hard to not laugh, it was pretty cute. Before his tantrum throwing, he was making fart noises on my belly. Kekoa saw Kaiwei making fart noises on my stomach and thought he would give it a try too! Very cute...this did make me laugh.
The second thing is Kekoa was back to his old self in music class today. He has been in this funk and not really enjoying the things he used to love so much. The last 2 music classes have been a little tough. He has been super attached and only wanting me to hold him the entire time. Not today, he was so adorable in class...all smiles and being super lovey. He would go up, touch the big drum, then turn to run into my arms with a huge smile on his face. He did this all through music...walk and explore, then run into my arms for some love, with the huge toothy grin. I loved it so much. It makes me smile just thinking about it. At one point, we were dancing and he wanted down. I put him down and he ran over to the teacher, Miss Elizabeth, and put his arms up to be carried by her! He danced one song with her, a big grin on his face the whole time, and then wanted back to mama. I was so happy that he wanted to dance with her, that he is so comfortable and relaxed again. It is just so great that he is loving music class again!
