a great Sunday

I had a wonderful Sunday today, even though Scott had to work. This morning, Kekoa and I went to the farmer's market and to run some errands together. He was thrilled to go because he got to ride his new bike there! What a big boy he is! He did such a great job listening and following directions too. It was one of those mornings when all is good. When my 3 year old son was super cooperative, no tantrums thrown, was totally agreeable...life is so good when it is like this! When it was time to cross the super busy street to get to the market, Kekoa waited so patiently at the light and let me help him across.

He was very concerned someone would take his bike, but rest assured, mama brought a bike lock. He didn't quite believe me, until we came out of Walgreens and his bike was still there. The little shopping center by us is going to be a great place to go when it is raining. It is an open shopping center, but has a roof, so Kekoa will be able to cruise on his bike under the awnings.

For "relaxing" time (Kekoa isn't napping anymore) we looked through his baby book. He loved it, loved looking at pictures of himself as a baby and pictures of me pregnant with him. We looked at it over and over again. It also made me realize that I need to get some pictures developed to put in it, I'm a little behind!

In the afternoon, we went to see Eriko and baby Fiona. Milan was with his daddy, but Kekoa still had so much fun playing with his toys. It was actually so nice because Kekoa played back in Milan's room and I got to spend some time with Malia, playing with her and making her laugh. She is such a giggly little girl. I feel so bad because at home I don't get to give her so much attention, kind of hard with Kekoa. It was a very nice and relaxing afternoon.

When I asked Kekoa tonight, during dinner, what his favorite part of the day was, he said, "riding my bike to the market and eating all the vegetables" Well, Kekoa doesn't eat any veggies there, but he does sample all the fruit and just loves it. Actually, when we go to any grocery store, he thinks he can sample all the fruit there too! He was even sampling apples with the skin on...guess who isn't going to be peeling apples anymore?

Bedtime was smooth and easy too. I love days like this.
