This boy is 2 1/2 years old in this picture.
He has grown up and changed so much in the last 4 months. He has learned to put himself to sleep. He has slept through the night, on his own bed, more than a few nights now. He has become the world's best big brother.
My heart is breaking for this boy right now. His world has been rocked with his baby sister coming into our lives. He is still not quite sure where he fits in our new family. We give him so much praise and love, but it is still so hard for him to have to share someone so important to him...his mama. He is such a great helper, getting us diapers, burp clothes, getting mama's water. He showers his baby sister with love, so much love, so many kisses, hugs, and foo foo (gentle rubs) all day long.
This boy hasn't taken out any of his frustrations out on his baby sister and we are so proud of him for that. He still wants her to lay next to him, still makes sure to give her a kiss if he is leaving, greets her with more kisses and hugs when he comes back. We are so proud of this boy, who can express his feelings so clearly and tell us he is feeling sad. He can tell his mama "mommy, it hard right now because you can't carry me" and tell his baba "I having a hard time sharing right now baba. I sad baba."
We love this boy, with all our hearts. He is our favorite boy, such a sweet boy. We know it is hard right now monkey, but you are doing a great job.

You should be so proud of him. I am impressed with how he is verbalizing his feelings . Good job teaching him that.
