This morning was HUGE for me. I took both kids, solo, first to the park and then to Malia's doctor's appointment. Malia screamed in the car to the park (2 minutes away), nursed at the park and fell right asleep. Poor Kekoa. I felt so bad because Kekoa wanted me to push him in the swing, but I didn't have anywhere to put Malia. I told him that next time we come to the park, I will have the car seat, but this was our first trip, so we were still figuring everything out.

Malia has been having red oozy stuff coming out of her belly button, so we had it checked out. The doctor cauterized her belly button and we just have to keep an eye on it. I also asked questions about her indigestion, she gets really bad gas and her tummy gets so upset. There doesn't seem to be anything to do for her right now. We give her Gripe Water and I am taking acidophilus.
Malia is definitely eating well. She is weighing in at 8 pounds 9 ounces!! Wow!

The morning was pretty successful, except I got a ticket on my way to the doctor's office. :( The motorcycle cop was waving people over, giving us tickets for going straight through the intersection instead of turning. I was literally waiting in line for my ticket.
I totally lost it, was crying because I was now going to be late for our appointment. The police officer asked me why I was so upset!! Between my tears, I told him that I am 2 weeks post-partum, my baby has blood oozing from her belly, I was going to be late for the doctor's appointment, and it was my first outing by myself with the two kids. He still gave me the ticket.
