Happy Valentine's Day

What a wonderful Valentine's day it was.  I woke up at the crack of dawn, but it was still a great one.  As I waddled into the kitchen, eyes still trying to open, Kekoa at my heels, I was greeted by a beautiful bouquet of pink tulips from my hubby.  He even woke up to go get Starbucks for us.  Thank you honey.

Then off to school.  Kekoa was beyond excited for Valentine's day.  He received ocean creature stuffed animals from mama and baba...a shark, lobster, orca, octopus and sting ray, all greeting him on the kitchen table for breakfast. He asked me, "mama, how did they get up there??"  He brought the shark to school to show Teacher Sally, and then promptly put it in his backpack, so no one would take it.
There was a little Valentine party at school, it was adorable.  All the kids put their Valentine's in the bags and then when it was time to see what was inside the bags....oh my, the kids were over the moon.  It was SO cute watching them.  The look on Kekoa's face when Teacher Sally called his name to get his bag was just priceless.

As soon as we got home, even before I turned off the engine, Kekoa asked me, "I show Baba my stuff?"  He dumped his Valentine's bag out on the floor and had a great time showing Baba all the Valentine's.  There was also a Valentine box when we got home, from Grandma and Grandpa.  Oh, Kekoa was super excited to see what was inside and even more excited when he saw two new cars from the Cars movie.

Watcha got there Caelen?

Kekoa waited 3 days to where this shirt.  He wanted his shirt to match his Lightning McQueen Valentine's!

Waiting so patiently for his Valentine bag.

priceless face, so bummed it is blurry.

Kekoa so busy looking at all his Valentine's to notice anything else.

Oh, hi Natalie.

After lunch, these two were little monkeys in the trees.  Dahlia kept saying, "take a picture, take a picture".

After a very fun music class, we headed to Willow Street to have dinner with Noah and his mama, Jessica.  We happened to run into Oliver and his parents there. The boys had the best time after dinner, chasing each other around and around and around and around. All three boys' cheeks were so rosy from running so much.  Malia had a great time watching them, after she chowed down a huge meal.  It wasn't so bad going out to eat with her this time, she was occupied feeding herself.

Kekoa was so cute, holding his "cheesy" smile face for the longest time, but Malia wouldn't cooperate!

Even though I didn't get to spend the day with my honey, it was still a fabulous Valentine's Day, filled with love, which is what is all about anyways.
