That is my New Year's resolution....to enjoy the sweet moments in life. I think I do a pretty good job of living in the moment, but sometimes I get caught up and think "when is this day going to be over?"
Each day has so many sweet moments and I really need to start savoring them. Yesterday I was going stir crazy, stuck inside all afternoon, but realized that Kekoa was having a great time playing hide and seek with Malia and I...a very sweet moment. When we were done playing, he started to do laps around the house. Maybe we have a future cross country runner??
Today on our afternoon walk, I kept catching Malia straining her head to try and see her Ge Ge in the double stroller. It was the cutest thing, seeing her crazy head of hair through the plastic window at the top of the stroller...another very sweet moment.
Or when my wonderful husband takes the clean sheets out of the dryer and makes the bed, without me even having to ask...like he read my mind...such a sweet moment.
Or when I am so tired, getting the kids ready for bed and Kekoa busts out with a huge hug and says, "I love you mommy"....the sweetest moments are ones like these.
My life is full of these and I want to focus on them more in 2013.
