We are leaving for Reno tomorrow, staying until Friday.
What a hectic day this was. My mom was supposed to come watch the kids so I could pack, but couldn't make it. Then Scott was supposed to have breaks, which means he would have only worked 4 hours, but that didn't work out either. What did that mean for me? Well, after Malia took her power nap (slept until 4:00), I had to take both kids to run errands. First stop, the consignment shop to rent some snow boots for Kekoa and a snow suit for Malia. Second stop, Trader Joe's. We have never been in Trader Joe's this late (5:30). When we stepped out, Kekoa said, "Wow mommy, it is so dark out!" It was one of those crazy days!
Kekoa couldn't get enough of these orange goggles, borrowed from a friend. He wore them all day long, in the car, in the store...it was adorable. He actually wanted to sleep with them on too, but I had to veto that one.
Here's to keeping my fingers crossed that all goes well on our drive tomorrow!
