We made it out the door by 10:00 a.m. and made it to Reno today by 5:00 pm. We took a pit stop in Old Town Sacramento to the train museum. Thank goodness for this train museum. It is just a really spectacular place and was the perfect way to break up the trip. Kekoa didn’t remember coming with me, when I was pregnant with Malia….funny, since he remembers so many other things. Kekoa had such a great time, was so excited about all the trains. It was very interesting comparing his development and growth since the last time we came. He really is growing up. He loved going in the big trains and was estatci when he saw the moving model trains, “look mommy, it is moving” he screamed as he ran to the display window. He absolutely loved going inside the trains, especially the sleeper train which made both Scott and I nauseous....it shakes like you are really moving!
We enjoyed lunch on the Sacramento River before heading into the Sierra’s. Kekoa got a kick out of the high curbs, I explained it was from a long time ago when people used horses...he didn't really get it.
I’m not sure who enjoyed the train musum more, Kekoa or Scott! And I know that Grandpa is enjoying all the pictures of the trains.
We made it through the Sierra’s. Let me just say Wow…so much snow. It was gorgeous. Kekoa conked out in the car after the museum, but woke up after an hour when he heard us say, “wake up buddy, there is snow all around”. His eyes looked as if they were going to pop out of his head, he was so excited. The first thing he said was, “look at all the Christmas trees, there are even baby ones, do you see them?” I think tomorrow we will head to Tahoe, since it will be a nice day…temperatures maybe even reaching 50 degrees! My favorite part of the drive though was listening to Kekoa and Malia in the backseat. Kekoa is such a great Ge Ge, heard his sister crying and said, “it’s ok little girl” and then played peek-a-boo with her to get her to giggle. It was a very sweet moment.

| Oh my goodness...look at that train. |
| Kekoa thought the train was going to leave the station and make a very loud whistle. |
| A little nursing break for Malia. |
| All done. :) |
| Driving the huge train. |
| Sorting the mail. |
| A statue of a woman train worker in the background. |
| Upstairs to play with the train tracks. |
| Malia had a blast too, she was standing on her own for awhile, playing. |
| Clapping my hands. |
| Giggles with Baba. |
I can see why Kekoa would be in heaven there. What a great pit stop. Malia is really growing fast.
