Happy Thanksgiving

We started the morning cooking....
Scott made his famous, chocolate haupia pie...so yummy.  I finished up the stuffing, also so yummy.  It is a chard and sausage stuffing I found in Sunset magazine years ago.  It was a big hit at dinner, there wasn't any leftovers at all!

After a morning of chaos, blowouts and little boys who don't want to get dressed, we finally made it out of the house and headed to Fremont.  A quick stop at my dad's for a beer before we went for a hike.  Mission Peak holds a special fondness in my heart.  The first time I trekked up this peak was when I was 5 years old!  The views are amazing, the trees right now are popping with fall colors, and we were on a turkey hunt.  On our way down, (of course we didn't go to the top, not yet anyways), we found a huge flock of turkeys.  Gobble gobble!

Shaka!

This was Kekoa's favorite part of the hike, climbing the rocks with his Baba.

Racing down the mountain
Then to my mom's house for Thanksgiving dinner.  The boys played so hard and Malia freaked out because there were so many people there.  She didn't really enjoy her first Thanksgiving, just wanted mama to hold her the entire time.  She spent most of the evening in the baby carrier, even took a nap in there.
We enjoyed the delicious food and desserts, oh there were so many desserts, all so yummy.

Kekoa loves this fire truck so much.

All Kekoa ate was ham...so much ham!

Can't take a picture of me Auntie leilei!

Kekoa asked, "Po Po, can I borrow this car?"

not the best picture, but this is where the kids were all night.  we didn't see them at all and there wasn't any fighting either!  a thanksgiving miracle!

I must say, it was a pretty wonderful Thanksgiving.  I have so much to be thankful for.
