Kekoa will be turning 3 in four months, and I don't think he will be out of diapers by then. He goes through these phases, where he is totally into the potty and goes all the time. We love these phases. He has always pooped more on the potty than going pee. He was doing so great telling us when he had to go #2, even with his pamper on. We were SO excited not to be changing poop diapers for awhile.
Then, complete regression. For this past month, Kekoa would not go on the potty at all. He would come and tell us when he was done pooping. Scott asked him what was going on and he told Scott he wanted to be the baby. Oh, guess he was having a hard time with the baby coming. Scott and I were pretty bummed during this potty regression, wondering when and if Kekoa would ever go on this potty again.
Now we are on an upswing again. The past week Kekoa has been going on the toilet all the time, both #1 AND #2! We are so proud of him. He gets one chocolate chip if he goes pee and two chocolate chips if he goes poop. We have even gone around the block on his tricycle, with no diaper under his shorts, and he didn't have an accident! Woo hoo. Actually, I'm not going to get too excited because this could be just a temporary potty thing, but I'll take it for now!
I never thought I could get so excited about pee and poop before having a child!
Pretty exciting too...Kekoa using the "Elmo" potty instead of his little one to go #2. So much easier to clean up this way!
