on my trike
The wind in my hair, the freedom of riding my tricycle...nothing beats it. I can do it now, all by myself. I couldn't wait to show mama and baba. We went for a walk around the block after dinner and I got to ride my trike. I know mama and baba were helping me at times, steer around the corners and give me a little push up any inclines, but that's ok, I'll let them think they are being helpful. I love pumping my legs to get my trike to go super fast. It is the best!
Why are we "The Hapa's"? Hapa in Hawaiian means half. I'm a hapa girl, half Chinese. Together we are the Hapa's, half Hanson and half Parks. The "ha" is pronounced like something is funny, ha, ha, ha. The "pa" is pronounced like the "pa" in papa.
