holiday parade

What a holiday packed weekend we have planned. Today we went to the holiday parade, which was a huge hit and tomorrow we go cut down our Christmas tree. I was thinking about going to see the Christmas tree lighting downtown yesterday, but decided to skip it this year. Scott was working and I just didn't have the energy to take Kekoa.
Back to the parade...
Wow, I didn't think Kekoa would like it as much as he did. He absolutely loved it and didn't want to leave! His favorite "floats" were the fire trucks, the Grinch, and the Polar Express train. It was awesome because our neighborhood fireman was driving the truck and recognized Kekoa. He gave Kekoa an extra special wave, which was very sweet. (We walk by the fire station at least once a day, it is on our walking route) Kekoa watched the parade on top of baba's shoulders and was completely entranced. We definitely had a marvelous morning filled with holiday cheer!

All bundled up and ready to go. It was a very chilly morning. Kekoa decided to bring Rex the dog with him.

The streets were all closed down in preparation for the parade.

When is this thing supposed to start mama?

The old time cars were a big hit.

This tiny car was hilarious. There was a huge guy driving it...not sure how he got himself inside!

Thank you Sara for taking our picture.

Wow...there is the fire truck!

Our favorite thing is to see the Italian gardening society and their squash dance. The men are holding squash!
