They met us at the park so the boys could run around and let off some steam.

Kekoa was too excited to nap, but had some quite time with Pop Pop.
What a fun thing to make. We had bought this gingerbread house kit a week ago and Kekoa waiting so patiently to put it together. I'm glad I waited until today because Kaiwei had the best time with it. Kekoa was over it after a few minutes. He helped fill one hole with icing and then was off to play trains. Kaiwei helped put all the candies on and to place all the little people.
But why can't I eat any of the cookies yet?
The finished product!
Kekoa and Kaiwei watching a little football.
Oooh, Mackie loves the tree.
We headed out for an afternoon walk. The boys needed to get out and get some fresh air. Kekoa couldn't wait to show Kaiwei and Mackie the penguins and "santa elf" (what Kekoa has named the Santa down the street). This was my favorite part of the day, watching these 3 boys having so much fun, laughing and chasing each other on the grass.
Where are these penguins Kekoa?
Oh my goodness, there they are.

Every evening, when we are coming home, we drive by and look at these penguin lights and the "Santa elf" lights. Kekoa then asks me to turn the car around at the end of the street so he can get a second look.

One of my favorite pictures. Kekoa is just so genuinely happy that everyone is here, visiting him. He told me on the way home from this walk, "mama, I like Kaiwei at my house. I happy Kaiwei here. I happy mama."

pure bliss...
Kekoa loves holding hands with Kaiwei and Jiawei. He has a huge smile on his face.

See Kaiwei, that is the Santa elf.

It is dinnertime! We ordered pizza, like last year. Since we hardly ever eat pizza anymore, it tasted extra delicious. For dessert, Scott made his special, chocolate haupia pie...his best one yet. Each bite was a little chocolate, coconut heaven. Thank you honey for making us such a delicious treat. (I didn't get a picture of it)
Yummmy, pizza!
I love this picture. Kekoa was so excited to take a picture with his Pop Pop.

What could be better than matching pj's?
Jiawei so excited to put on his matching pj's, so he can be like the big boys.
Let the unwrapping begin!
Sharing all the legos. ( Notice Kekoa's sleepy eyes. He didn't have a nap and started to fade around 6:00...got really mellow and quiet. We put out the cookies we had made for Santa, poured him some "special milk", put out a few carrots for the reindeer, then rushed off to bed. Kekoa was fast asleep by 7:30, dreaming about Santa and his red tricycle.)
Jenny's parents were so excited about the big tree.

I am bummed that we didn't get any pictures with Scott. It would have been a perfect day, but he had to go to work. :( We are keeping our fingers crossed he gets Christmas Eve off next year.
Mackie loves walking on the grass
I love watching Kekoa's eyes get so wide with pure happiness as he opens his first present of the season.
Kekoa's first lego set.
