Kekoa is talking sooooo much, most of it is Kekoa speak, meaning I'm not quite sure what he's saying, but he is also saying many new words too. Scott and I love listening to him talk, it is the cutest. He moves his tongue all around in his mouth, exploring new sounds. He does the most talking at night before he falls asleep. The sounds he makes now are so much more complicated than before when he would just say, "babababababa" over and over again. He has English words, Chinese words, and then Kekoa words, but he understands it all and makes up sounds for things he doesn't know the name of. Just yesterday, I was turning on and off the garbage disposal for him, which made him laugh really hard. Later in the day, he started making a growling noise and pointing to the kitchen, wanting me to turn on the disposal again!
These are some of the words he is saying and I know that I am forgetting some!
In Chinese:
"su" (tree-he just started saying this last night and pointing to the plant in his room)
"shie" (shoes)
"shie shie" (thank you)
"mama" (never get tired of hearing this one!)
"baba" (daddy)
"dien" (light)
In English:
"ball"
"bubble"
"bye bye"
"wome" (snowman)
"danta" (santa)
"oh wow" (this is one of my favorite things he says, it is the cutest! his mouth gets all big and it is like whatever he is looking at is taking his breath away!)
"uh-oh"
"too too" (train)
Kekoa has many sounds he makes for words. He makes a sound for car and a different sound for fire truck. He has unique sounds for dogs and cats, and makes a "baaa" sound for sheep, cows, and horses. He makes a duck sound and flaps his elbows for ducks and geese. It is really exciting for Kekoa to be learning language, super amazing to see it happen.
