Las Madres Holiday Party

Friday was the holiday party for the moms group I belong too. Kekoa had the best time running around, as long as he stayed clear of Santa! :) There was a Santa there and Kekoa would get a little anxious if he got to close to him. Actually he would start to cry. I would reassure him that it was going to be ok and steer him in the direction of the toys. Kekoa wasn't momtastic at all, which was wonderful. He had so much fun playing and exploring on his own. I've been so used to him not leaving my side when we go to new places. I figured I would be carrying him the whole party, but this was not the case!
His favorite toy? A little dump truck, which he carried around the entire party and a fire truck. He circled the fire truck a few times when he saw it...just ignored the boy sitting on it. Then he went in for a closer look, like he was really checking out this boy's ride, it was so funny. Later, Kekoa did finally get a chance to push the fire truck.
The highlight of the party for Kekoa? Seeing a real actual fire truck and getting to sit inside! This was the real hit of the party for him, he was super excited.
Hard to believe that last year at the holiday party all of us mom's got to sit around, drink wine, and chat with our babies in our laps!

There was the most beautiful orchard next to the parking lot. It took my breath away! I want to bring Kekoa back here to take some more photos with him.
