We finally finished decorating the tree today. Scott did an amazing job putting the lights on as soon as we brought the tree home, but we haven't gotten around to decorating until today. Kekoa was such a great helper and so curious about all the treasures in the Christmas tubs. He even tried to sample the nose of one of the snowmen...maybe he thought it was a carrot?
I love opening the Christmas tubs and finding all the special decoration and ornaments...all the ones that have so many memories associated with them. Scott and I both have decorations from when we were little and now we have started collecting decorations for Kekoa too. We didn't go crazy putting up all the decorations this year though, since we have a little monkey that would love to destroy them! :) The tree decorations are up high enough that he can't grab at them. While we were putting up the ornaments, Kekoa kept saying "ball" and pointing to the tree. I love how excited Kekoa is about Christmas, he is beside himself whenever we turn the lights on the tree...he'll start clapping! He is obsessed with all Christmas lights and is really enjoying all the decorations he sees everywhere.
It really feels like Christmas now! :)
