The past couple of Sundays have just been Kekoa and I. Malia naps all afternoon and last Sunday was football, so Scott was excited to be home watching the start of the season. Last Sunday, we went out to lunch at Whole Foods, which was so nice and had a visit to the pet store afterwards. It was cat adoption day, Kekoa was in cat heaven. He really bonded with a black cat named Sam....couldn't stop petting him. When we left, Sam looked up, wondering where Kekoa went. Maybe one day we can get a cat. I loved spending Sunday afternoon with my little man.
This Sunday, Scott was sick. We were going to go apple picking, but hopefully we can do that next weekend. And hopefully Scott feels better soon. Kekoa was pretty excited to see the trains. We hit up farmer's market in Mountain View first. I must say, besides his occasional tantrums, Kekoa is a pretty easy going kid. He loves going to farmer's market and is so patient when I am buying all the fruit and veggies. He loves checking out all the interesting veggies and sampling all the sweet fruit. I know I am so lucky that he also sticks right by my side.
The train days was a hit. I didn't know how much Kekoa would like it, but he just stared at each set of tracks for so long...completely mesmerized. Afterwards, he did ask me why he couldn't play with the trains. :)
On our way back to the car, we stopped for a few minutes at this funny playground. It has 3 things, swings, the helicopter, and boat. Kekoa was having a ball, pretending he was a firefighter on the helicopter, telling me there was an emergency and he needed to put out the fire. On the boat, we were surrounded by sharks. When we left, we had one more stop, Shoup park. We stopped by for about 15 minutes to see Tessa, Jeff, and baby Henry, who isn't a baby anymore. I didn't take any pictures here, but it is a really fun park. Kekoa was running around on all the trails and even told me we needed to come earlier in the day with baby sista' (the playgrounds were all in the sun). We will have to do that.
We had a very busy but super fun day. Kekoa didn't even fall asleep in the car on the way home (a good thing so he goes to bed early) I treasure the time I get to spend with just Kekoa. Plus, it is a lot easier having just one kiddo with me!!
