1st Ukulele lesson

Kekoa had his first lesson today with Rodney, from Ukulele Jams.  On our way there, he asked me, all excited like, "Are you going to take lessons with me?"  I did bring my ukulele...just in case.  It was surreal driving up, parking in the same spot that I used to park in when I was pregnant with Kekoa.  And now my little man wants to take lessons. Time sure does fly!!

Kekoa was funny, he was insistent on strumming with his thumb.  Rodney tried to show him a C chord and he did finally get it.  I was also helping, using more kid friendly explanations.  He is excited to go back next week and even waved good-bye to Rodney.

Tonight, after we read stories, Scott brought out both ukuleles and Kekoa and I played.  We are both really excited he likes it.
