It has been a long time since we visited this place. Kekoa has been asking to go for weeks now but it just hasn't worked out. Today, I mustered up all the energy I had and we went. Kekoa waited for me to get home from Pilates this morning, barely containing himself. He just wanted to go "right now". He couldn't even eat lunch, he was that excited!
The best part was that Malia was able to have some fun too. She rode the merry-go-round for the first time, well, the first time on an animal. She LOVED it and had a fit when it was time to get off, pulled one of her screaming tantrums.
And Kekoa was showing off on the playground...crossed the ropes all by himself, without any trouble at all. His face when he was up there was priceless, so proud of himself. When he came down the big long slide, he was beaming.
Now that the weather is getting nicer, we need to come back to Happy Hollow more often. We didn't have time to see the animals, ran out of time. As Kekoa said, "that's a bummer"...we will save it for next time! It seemed manageable today, with the two kiddos, by myself.
