9 month stats

Malia had her 9 month check up today.
Height: 27 inches, 22%
Weight: 18.8 pounds, 54%
Head: 45 cm, 79%
She checks out just perfect.  Dr. Drucker thinks they probably under measured her today, he said she seems much bigger than the 22% she is in for height.

Dr. Drucker and I were also discussing the fact that she seems uninterested in nursing right now, especially during the day (she bites me).  He says that it sounds like she is self-weaning and that I probably should be a little "tougher" on her at night.  I've been getting up a lot to feed her at night.  It is starting a bad habit, no nursing during the day, so she is hungry and wants to eat at night.

He asked me if Malia is interested in food...hmmm, well I would say yes! :)
She still amazes me at how well she can feed herself and how much she loves to do it.  She can pretty much eat everything now except peanut butter and shellfish, all other foods are on the table.

Malia's intense stranger anxiety is perfectly normal.  She is calmed by me, or Scott, or Kekoa, so there isn't any concern.

After Malia got used to being there (she stopped crying hysterically), she had a lot of fun ripping the paper she was sitting on.  :)

Next visit is the 1 year visit, so crazy!
