Oh little girl, how we love you. Just love you to pieces. You are SO cute...squeezy, squishy, cute. Your smile lights up the room and your screams make us come running to see what you need. You have your Baba wrapped around you tiny fingers, but honestly, I think you have all of wrapped up.
This has been a big month of changes. You pretty much weaned yourself. You still nurse in the morning, first thing, but that is probably because you are starving from sleeping through the night. Yes, that's right, I said it, you are sleeping through the night. You go to sleep around 6:30 and then usually don't wake up until around 5:30. I nurse you and you fall back asleep until around 7:00 or 7:30. Now, I do wish that you would sleep straight through until 7:00, but I'll take 11 hours, gladly take it! A few times you did sleep all the way through and every night I hope it will happen again. Great job little girl...we are so proud of you!
You are still taking two naps a day, one in the morning, usually from 9:00-11:00 and then again in the afternoon, usually around 1:00-3:00. I am so grateful that you are a good sleeper (so far, and I am knocking on a big piece of wood)
So you are only nursing in the morning, but still drink milk from a bottle. You don't drink a ton of milk in the day, a few ounces here and there, but drink about 6-7 ounces before bed and that is after the hugest dinner on the planet. Instead of milk, you are filling up food, big time. You consume so much food that it is unbelievable. Sometimes for breakfast you have two scrambled eggs! You love vegetables, get so excited about cauliflower, peas, zucchini, broccoli, any sort of veggie. The only food so far you haven't been too excited about is fresh mozzarella cheese, but I'm betting that the next time I give it to you, you are going to gobble it up. I love watching you eat, picking up the food and scooping it into your mouth is so adorable. You favor your left hand right now, it will be interesting to see if you are indeed a lefty. You let all of us know when there is no more food on your tray by screaming. And if you throw food on the floor and we tell you, "no thank you", this makes you cry. You do not like being told "no" and will look around to see who is going to give you some sympathy.
Something else that is really exciting is that you say "hi" and you say "mama". I hear you crying for me in your crib, "mama" or if you are upset about something. Sometimes I even get confused and think it is Kekoa yelling for me!
Here are some other fun things you are doing right now:
-scooting everywhere. I still haven't seen how you are getting all around the room because when I come in, you stop whatever you were doing and fuss for me to pick you up. But you are never in the same place I left you.
-you love music and music class. You hear the songs from music class and immediately throw your hands in the air and clap your hands to your lap. It is adorable and completely amazing to see.
-playing with all kinds of toys, especially ge ge's, which you get very excited about. You love all his cars and trains.
-love going to the park and going for rides in your red car. You try and dive bomb out of my arms and into your car whenever you see it.
-dislike getting into the stroller or car seat. You throw a fit, cry and arch your back so it is nearly impossible to strap you in. You are fine once we get moving.
-You are waving like crazy, you just love waving. In the morning, when we open up the curtains, you wave to the outside. It is so cute to watch you wave. You wave to the computer or the radio when you hear the music come on, it is adorable.
-you are pointing to things you want or things you are excited about seeing, you use your hold hand to point.
I really can't believe you are already 10 months old. Where has all the time gone? I am the luckiest mama on the planet to have such a smart, beautiful, and silly little girl.
love,
your mama
