a walk in the redwoods

Scott had the day off today and we headed to Henry Cowell...a beautiful state park, only about 30 minutes away. The redwoods here are amazing. Kekoa was so excited to go see the "big trees". Henry Cowell borders Roaring Camp, literally...the trains right on the border. Once Kekoa heard the trains, he was more excited about that than anything else.
It was so magical to walk in a redwood grove. We didn't get so far on our hike, but went at Kekoa speed. This means we get to take it all in and not miss any of the small details. Kekoa notices everything! He is such a trooper, a great little hiker. He wanted to walk the entire time, but we needed to walk slightly faster than Kekoa speed, so into the stroller he went.
We all can't wait to come back to this magical place.
